Join our dedicated Children's Social Work Safeguarding Team in Middlesbrough, where your expertise will make a profound impact on the lives of children and families in need. We are seeking a passionate and qualified Social Worker who is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, local agencies, and community resources to ensure the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to individual circumstances. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate support services. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local and national standards. Providing support and guidance to families to empower them in improving their situations. Participating in child protection conferences and legal proceedings as necessary.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children and families.
