We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our 16+ Children Looked After Team in Shropshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and guidance to young people transitioning from care to independence.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

Undertaking assessments and developing care plans for young people aged 16 and above Providing practical and emotional support to help young people develop independent living skills Liaising with external agencies and professionals to ensure the holistic needs of young people are met Advocating for the rights and best interests of young people in care Participating in multi-disciplinary team meetings and case conferences

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England Experience working with children and young people in a social care setting Strong assessment and case management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload

In addition to the essential qualifications and skills, candidates with experience in working with young people in care aged 16 and above will be preferred.
