We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Stockport Connected Carers Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to connected carers in order to ensure the safety and well-being of children in their care.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting assessments of connected carers to determine their suitability and capacity to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with connected carers, children, and other professionals to meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Providing ongoing support, advice, and supervision to connected carers to promote positive outcomes for children in their care.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and reviews to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children and families within a social work setting.
  • Strong assessment and decision-making skills to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with connected carers and other professionals.

In addition to the essential qualifications and skills, candidates with experience in connected carers services or fostering will be highly regarded.
