We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's HOS to join our team in the vibrant London Borough of Haringey. As a key member of our social work department, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a team of social workers to deliver high-quality services to children and families in need.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the children's social work team Providing supervision, guidance, and support to social workers to ensure effective casework and interventions Managing complex cases, including child protection and court proceedings Developing and implementing strategies to improve service delivery and outcomes for children and families Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to promote partnership working and integrated services

The ideal candidate will have:

A recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England Proven experience in a senior social work role within children's services Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child welfare Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills

Additional requirements for this role may include:

Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed Experience working in a diverse and multicultural community Training or qualifications in areas such as safeguarding, risk assessment, or trauma-informed practice
