We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker specializing in Learning Disabilities for Adults to join our dynamic team in Worcestershire. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to adults with learning disabilities, ensuring they receive the support they need to live fulfilling and independent lives. You will work closely with individuals, their families, and other professionals to assess needs, develop care plans, and facilitate access to appropriate resources.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients' needs and abilities.
  • Developing and implementing person-centered care plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
  • Providing ongoing support and advocacy for clients in various settings, including residential, community, and educational environments.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure holistic care and support.
  • Monitoring and reviewing care plans regularly to adapt to changing needs and circumstances.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with relevant legislation and best practice guidelines.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities, preferably in a social work setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
