Join our dedicated team as a Qualified Social Worker in the Devon - AP - LAC-Exeter & East Team, where your expertise will make a significant impact on the lives of children and families in our community. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and young people in care, developing and implementing care plans, and working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes for those we serve.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments and maintaining accurate case records. Developing and reviewing care plans in conjunction with children, families, and professionals. Providing support and guidance to children and their families, ensuring their voices are heard. Managing a caseload effectively and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Participating in team meetings, supervision, and training to enhance professional development.To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and looked after children services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
