The London Borough of Barking & Dagenham is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Assessment Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children at risk.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children's needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring their voices are heard in the decision-making process. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Experience working with children and families in a statutory setting. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
