Devon County Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Social Worker to join our Adoption Team. As an Advanced Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine their suitability for adoption. Providing expert advice and support to prospective adoptive parents throughout the adoption journey. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to develop and implement effective care plans. Leading training sessions and workshops for adoptive families, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with legal and organizational standards.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Significant experience in child protection and adoption services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children and families. Proficient in conducting assessments and preparing reports.
