Cheshire West is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's SW - Permanence Team. This role is essential in ensuring that children in care receive the support and guidance they need to achieve positive outcomes. As a member of our team, you will work collaboratively with families, children, and partner agencies to promote stability and permanency for vulnerable children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing the needs of children and families to develop tailored intervention plans.
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and preparing reports for court proceedings.
  • Building strong relationships with children, families, and other professionals to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Implementing and reviewing care plans, ensuring that children's voices are heard and their needs prioritized.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on best practices in child welfare.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and relevant social work practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Proven experience in working within a children’s social work setting, particularly in permanence planning.
