Children's DTM - Permanence Team - Liverpool

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's DTM (Designated Team Manager) to join our Permanence Team in Liverpool. This pivotal role is designed for qualified social workers who are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. As a Children's DTM, you will lead a team focused on achieving positive outcomes for children in care and those on the edge of care, ensuring their safety, stability, and well-being.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and supervising a team of social workers, providing guidance and support in their practice.
  • Overseeing the assessment and planning processes for children and families, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency partners to develop and implement effective permanence plans.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress of children in care, ensuring that their needs are consistently met.
  • Contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance service delivery and improve outcomes for children.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in children's social work, with a strong understanding of child protection and permanence planning.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
