Bracknell Forest is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. This role is vital in providing high-quality support and intervention for children and young people with disabilities and their families. As part of a committed team, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of children, while promoting their rights and enhancing their quality of life.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing tailored care plans for children with disabilities.
  • Working collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to deliver effective support services.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
  • Providing advice and guidance to families regarding available resources and support systems.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of safeguarding plans.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly those with disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
