Bracknell Forest Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Family Support and Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families within our community. As a Senior Social Worker, you will lead on complex cases, provide support and guidance to junior staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality social work services.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Managing a caseload of children and families, conducting assessments and developing tailored support plans. Leading on safeguarding investigations and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Providing supervision and mentoring to junior social workers and students, fostering a culture of continuous professional development. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies to promote the well-being of children and families. Contributing to service development and improvement initiatives within the Family Support and CWD Team.

The successful candidate will possess a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Essential skills and experience include:

A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in child protection and family support. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in social work. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families. Proven leadership abilities and experience in supervising staff.
