Oxfordshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families facing unique challenges. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to provide high-quality social work services that promote the well-being and development of children with disabilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children with disabilities and their families.
- Developing and implementing tailored care plans that address individual needs and promote positive outcomes.
- Working closely with families to provide support, guidance, and advocacy throughout the social work process.
- Collaborating with other professionals, including health services, education, and voluntary organizations, to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with statutory and organizational requirements.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
- Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
- Strong assessment and intervention skills, with a clear understanding of relevant legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
