The London Borough of Sutton is seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work – Looked After Children (LAC) Team. This vital role involves working with children and young people in care, ensuring their safety, welfare, and overall well-being. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments of children’s needs and risks, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings to advocate for the best interests of children in care.

To be considered for this role, you must possess a recognized social work qualification (BA/MA Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Experience in child protection and safeguarding, along with the ability to manage complex cases.
