Join our dedicated Children's Social Work - Children in Care (CIC) Team in Bath and North East Somerset, where you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and their families. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and various stakeholders to ensure the safety, well-being, and development of children in care. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and providing ongoing support to children and their families.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children's needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports. Participating in multi-agency meetings and ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders. Providing direct support and advocacy for children in care, ensuring their voices are heard.

To be considered for this position, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should possess the following essential skills:

Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Proficient in assessment and analytical skills to effectively evaluate complex situations. Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
