The City of Wolverhampton is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult's Social Work Duty Team. This pivotal role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of adults in our community, ensuring they receive the support and resources they need. As part of our dynamic team, you will work collaboratively to assess, plan, and implement effective interventions for individuals facing various challenges.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of adults in need of social care services. Developing and implementing person-centered care plans in collaboration with service users and their families. Providing support and guidance to individuals and their families, ensuring they understand their rights and options. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals and community organizations, to facilitate holistic care. Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and maintaining accurate records. Participating in duty team responsibilities, including responding to urgent referrals and crisis situations.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in adult social work, preferably within a duty or assessment team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
