The London Borough of Haringey is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s SP - Assessment & Safeguarding Team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people within our community. You will work collaboratively with families, multidisciplinary teams, and external agencies to assess needs, develop effective intervention plans, and safeguard vulnerable children. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs.

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team and manage a caseload.
