Experienced Social Worker - CWD - Swindon

We are seeking an Experienced Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) team in Swindon. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families. You will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality assessments, interventions, and support for children with disabilities and their families, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and effective manner.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and develop tailored support plans.
  • Working closely with families, schools, and other agencies to coordinate services and ensure effective communication.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, helping them navigate challenges and access necessary resources.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local authority policies and procedures.
  • Participating in team meetings, case reviews, and training sessions to enhance service delivery and professional development.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant post-qualification experience working with children and families, particularly those with disabilities.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to formulate effective intervention plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with children and families.
