Are you a passionate and experienced social worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the community? Cardiff is seeking a Principal Social Worker to lead our Multi-Agency Safeguarding and Early Help Hub. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality social work services aimed at safeguarding vulnerable children and families. Your leadership will shape our approach to early intervention, fostering collaboration across agencies to promote the well-being and safety of those we serve.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and managing a team of social workers and support staff, ensuring effective case management and safeguarding practices. Developing and implementing policies and procedures that enhance service delivery and compliance with statutory requirements. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to coordinate services and interventions for children and families in need. Providing expert guidance and support to social workers in complex case assessments and decision-making. Monitoring and evaluating service outcomes, ensuring continuous improvement and best practice in safeguarding.To be considered for this role, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Care Wales. Proven experience in safeguarding and working within a multi-agency framework is essential. Strong leadership and communication skills, alongside the ability to engage and inspire a team, will be crucial for your success in this position.
