The Nottingham City Council is seeking a committed professional to join our Children’s SW - Permanence Team. As a member of the Permanence Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans to meet the needs of children and families. Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure the best possible outcomes for children. Supporting children and young people in achieving permanence through adoption, special guardianship, and long-term fostering. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with policy and procedures. Providing guidance and support to foster carers and adoptive parents to enhance the parenting capacity and stability for children.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working within children’s services, particularly in permanence planning. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
