SEND / CWD Social Worker - Special Educational Needs and Family Help Service

We're recruiting for experienced Social Workers to join a supportive Special Educational Needs and Family Help Service, also known as the Children with Disabilities Team (CWD) / Disabled Children's Team.
This is a stable service with settled caseloads of around 20 children, combining Children with Disabilities / Disabled Children's Services, SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), Looked After Children and Early Transitions work. The majority of looked after children are in long-term placements, with minimal court work and very few out-of-borough placements.

  • SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) & Children with Disabilities focus

  • Minimal care proceedings
  • Supportive permanent management team
  • Hybrid working (typically 3 office / 2 home)
  • Tuesday service day in the office
  • Systems: Mosaic, Gemini & Magic Notes

We're looking for:

  • SWE Registered Social Workers
  • Experience within Children with Disabilities, Disabled Children's Teams, SEND, LAC, Transitions or Adult Social Care
  • Strong assessment, safeguarding and care planning skills
  • Relationship-based practitioner with experience supporting children and young people with complex needs
