Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to individual circumstances.
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate support services.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local and national standards.
  • Providing support and guidance to families to empower them in improving their situations.
  • Participating in child protection conferences and legal proceedings as necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children and families.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
