We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Families First Team in Southend-on-Sea. This role is pivotal in providing support and safeguarding vulnerable children and their families, ensuring that they receive the necessary interventions and resources to thrive. As a member of our dynamic team, you will work collaboratively with families, local agencies, and community partners to promote positive outcomes for children and young people.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
  • Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans in collaboration with families and stakeholders.
  • Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely and appropriate support is provided.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of safeguarding strategies.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrable experience in children's social work, particularly within a statutory setting.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building trusting relationships.
