As a Children’s Social Worker within our team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing the needs and circumstances of children and families, ensuring their voices are heard.
  • Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Conducting home visits and maintaining regular contact with families, providing guidance and support.
  • Working closely with external agencies, including schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
  • Documenting casework activities and maintaining accurate records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Care Wales (or eligibility to register).
  • Experience working with children and families in a social work setting.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and assessment skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
