The City of Wolverhampton is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's SW - Families Hub Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and families within our community. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for those in need of support and intervention.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing the needs of children and families, developing and implementing care plans.
  • Providing direct support and guidance to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard.
  • Working closely with multi-agency partners to coordinate services and interventions.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, reports, and documentation.
  • Participating in case reviews and contributing to the continuous improvement of services.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience working with children and families in a social work setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport.
  • Sound knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
