Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and supervising a team of social workers, ensuring high-quality practice and adherence to safeguarding standards.

  • Collaborating with multi-agency partners to coordinate effective safeguarding interventions.
  • Reviewing and approving assessments, care plans, and reports related to child protection cases.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across agencies.
