Join our dedicated team in Nottingham as a Children's Child Protection Chair, where you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the welfare of children and young people. This position is integral to ensuring that child protection procedures are followed effectively, promoting the best interests of vulnerable children in our community. You will lead Child Protection Conferences, ensuring that all voices are heard and that decisions made are in the best interest of the child.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Chairing Child Protection Conferences and ensuring effective communication among all participants. Assessing and analyzing information regarding children and families to inform decision-making. Collaborating with social workers, health professionals, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive protection plans. Monitoring the implementation of plans and reviewing progress to ensure the ongoing safety of children. Providing training and support to professionals involved in child protection processes.The ideal candidate will possess a relevant social work qualification and have substantial experience in child protection. Essential qualifications and skills include:
A recognized social work degree and registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage challenging situations effectively. Excellent analytical and decision-making capabilities.
