We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Team Manager to join our Safeguarding Team in Northamptonshire. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced social worker to lead a team committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in our community. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality safeguarding services, managing casework, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing a team of social workers to provide effective safeguarding interventions.
  • Overseeing the assessment and intervention processes for children and families in need of support.
  • Ensuring that all casework is conducted in accordance with local and national safeguarding policies.
  • Providing supervision, support, and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Collaborating with other agencies and stakeholders to promote the welfare of children.
  • Monitoring and evaluating service delivery to ensure continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience working in children's social work, with a focus on safeguarding.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, families, and professionals.
