Children's SW - Family Safeguarding Team - Barking & Dagenham
Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Barking & Dagenham as a Children's Social Worker. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safeguarding children and ensuring their welfare, while working collaboratively with families to promote positive outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
- Developing and implementing child protection plans.
- Working closely with families, schools, and other agencies to provide support and guidance.
- Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and reviews.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local policies and procedures.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in working with children and families, ideally within a safeguarding context.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to child-centered practice.
