As a Children's Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments to identify the needs and risks faced by children and their families.
  • Developing and implementing care plans that promote the welfare of children and support family reunification where appropriate.
  • Working closely with multi-agency teams to safeguard children and ensure effective communication between all parties involved.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Experience working in children's social care, particularly in safeguarding and support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
