We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our CP/Court team in Shropshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a complex caseload of child protection and court cases, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families in the area.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with other professionals and agencies
  • Attending court hearings and providing evidence to support legal proceedings
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and reviews to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes
  • Providing support and guidance to families to address issues and improve their circumstances

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification and HCPC registration
  • Demonstrated experience working within child protection and court teams
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in social work practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and professionals
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
