Children's SW - Court Team - Shropshire

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Court Team in Shropshire. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families involved in court proceedings, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the legal process.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with the court, families, and other professionals to safeguard children.
  • Attending court hearings and providing evidence-based reports to support decision-making.
  • Working closely with partner agencies and stakeholders to coordinate services and support for families.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and case conferences to review progress and ensure the best outcomes for children.
  • The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications and skills:

    • Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration.
    • Proven experience working within a children's social work setting, preferably within a court team.
    • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and court processes.
    • Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex and challenging cases.
    • Additional requirements for this role include:

      • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
      • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
