We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Fostering team in North Somerset. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and safeguarding children and young people in foster care.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Undertaking assessments of prospective foster carers to ensure they meet the necessary criteria.
  • Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster carers to ensure the well-being of children in their care.
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to promote positive outcomes for children and families.
  • Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as required.
  • Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant legislation and best practice guidelines.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrated experience in working within the fostering sector, with a strong understanding of relevant policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Strong assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
