We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Adult's Social Worker to join our Learning Disabilities Team in Bath and North East Somerset. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to adults with learning disabilities, ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Assessing the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and developing care plans tailored to their specific requirements.
  • Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, service users, and their families to deliver person-centered support.
  • Advocating for the rights and choices of individuals with learning disabilities, empowering them to lead fulfilling lives.
  • Participating in safeguarding procedures and risk assessments to ensure the safety and protection of vulnerable adults.
  • Engaging with community resources and support networks to enhance the social inclusion and quality of life for service users.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with adults with learning disabilities in a social care setting.
  • Strong assessment and care planning skills, with the ability to implement and review support packages effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build trusting relationships with service users and stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to adult social care and learning disabilities.
