We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Fostering Team in Portsmouth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and services to children and families involved in the fostering process.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Assessing and supporting foster carers to ensure the safety and well-being of children in their care
  • Undertaking direct work with children and young people to assess their needs and promote positive outcomes
  • Completing detailed assessments and reports to inform decision-making and planning for children in foster care
  • Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and working collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies
  • Providing support and guidance to foster carers to enhance their skills and knowledge in caring for children

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration with Social Work England
  • Demonstrated experience working with children and families in a social work setting
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make evidence-based decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced and challenging environment
