Advance SW is seeking a passionate and dedicated Family Support & Safeguarding Qualified Social Worker to join our team in North Somerset. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safeguarding children and supporting families in crisis, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. Your expertise will be essential in conducting assessments, developing care plans, and working collaboratively with families and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families. Providing direct support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to safeguard children and promote their welfare. Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance professional practice.The ideal candidate will possess a recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. You should have a strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices, along with experience in family support work. Essential skills include excellent communication, empathy, problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
