Wakefield - Senior Social Worker - CIC - £35 PH
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our team in Wakefield, working within a Community Interest Company (CIC) at a competitive rate of £35 per hour. This role is integral to supporting vulnerable individuals and families, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and assistance. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in leading casework, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective social care services.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients' needs and developing tailored care plans.
- Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and students.
- Collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure holistic service delivery.
- Managing a caseload of complex cases, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to service development initiatives.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA in Social Work, MA in Social Work).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant post-qualifying experience in social work, preferably in a community or child protection setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
