The Wakefield Children’s SSW - CIC Team is seeking a qualified and experienced social worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work directly with children in care, providing support, guidance, and advocacy to ensure their well-being and development.
As a Children's Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with children, families, and multi-agency partners. Providing direct support and intervention, ensuring the safety and welfare of children in care. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in regular team meetings and supervision to discuss cases and share best practices.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England (SWE). Proven experience in children's social work, particularly with children in care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
