As an Assistant Team Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

Supporting the Team Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the MASH team. Conducting assessments and managing complex cases in line with statutory guidelines. Providing supervision and guidance to social workers, ensuring high-quality practice and professional development. Collaborating with partner agencies to share information and develop safeguarding strategies. Contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery through feedback and innovative practices.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant post-qualifying experience in children’s social work, particularly in safeguarding. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
