Are you a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Tameside Council is seeking a motivated individual to join our Children's Social Work Safeguarding Team. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with families, children, and various agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children within our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of children and families in need of support and intervention. Developing and implementing care plans to address the specific needs of children and their families. Working closely with multi-agency partners to safeguard children and promote their welfare. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, documentation, and reports. Participating in regular supervision and team meetings to enhance professional development and share best practices.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience in children's social work, particularly within safeguarding. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, families, and professionals.
