Location: Barking Town Hall (Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days WFH)
Rate: £32-£35 per hour (Umbrella)
Hours: 35 per week (Mon-Fri)
Contract: 3-9 months (initial)
Caseload: Adults with physical disabilities - quick turnaround
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist (HCPC registered) to join the Adult Intake Team in Barking. This role focuses on functional assessments, equipment provision, and adaptations to promote independence and safety for adults with physical disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Care Act assessments and develop person-centred plans.
- Recommend and arrange adaptations, assistive technology, and moving & handling solutions.
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, carers, and families.
- Maintain accurate case records and meet statutory timescales.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
- Post-qualifying experience in adult social care.
- Strong knowledge of housing adaptations, risk assessments, and manual handling.
- IT proficiency; ability to work in a hybrid environment.
Working Arrangements
- Hybrid model: 3 days in the office, 2 days WFH.
- IT equipment provided (collection from Barking Town Hall required).
