We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Services - Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in Blackburn. This role is pivotal in ensuring that children with disabilities receive the support and care they need to thrive. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and their families, developing tailored support plans, and ensuring the implementation of services that promote the well-being and development of each child.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities and their families to identify needs and risks. Developing and reviewing care plans in collaboration with families, professionals, and other stakeholders. Providing direct support and intervention to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard and respected. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with local policies and procedures. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection and safeguarding processes.The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children with disabilities and their families. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with children and families.
