Join our dedicated team in Stafford as a Children's Social Worker specializing in Assessment and Staying Together. In this rewarding role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within our community. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored support plans that promote family unity and stability. You will collaborate closely with families, schools, and other agencies to provide comprehensive services that meet the unique needs of each child.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting initial and ongoing assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing intervention plans that prioritize the welfare of children and support family cohesion. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements. Engaging with children and families to build trusting relationships and empower them to take an active role in their care. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure the delivery of holistic support services.

To be successful in this position, you must possess a recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should have a solid understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
