We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Children’s Services team in Shropshire, focusing on Child Protection (CP) and Children in Need (CIN) cases. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with families, children, and various agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children. Your expertise will contribute to assessments, care planning, and the delivery of high-quality social work interventions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Managing a caseload of CP and CIN cases, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with legislation and local policies.

  • Providing support and guidance to families, empowering them to make positive changes.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working within Child Protection and Children in Need frameworks.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
