Join our dedicated Children's ATM - Fostering Team in Reading as we strive to create a nurturing environment for children in need. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting positive outcomes. This position offers the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and guidance to foster carers. Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care. Working closely with local authorities, schools, and other stakeholders to advocate for children's best interests.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and fostering services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
