Devon County Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of children with disabilities and their families. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children while promoting their development and independence.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and intervention to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard. Maintaining accurate and timely case records in accordance with statutory requirements. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including health and education professionals.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working with children with disabilities and their families. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
