We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Advanced Practitioner to join our Emergency Duty Team (EDT) in Bury. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team, providing critical support to children and families in crisis situations. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing immediate needs, ensuring the safety and welfare of children, and implementing effective interventions in line with statutory guidelines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in urgent situations.
  • Developing and implementing care plans that address identified needs.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Providing support and guidance to less experienced social workers and staff.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Social Work England registration.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within children's services.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
