We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join the Duty & Assessment Team in Bury. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and families within the community. The role offers a competitive rate of £39 per hour and requires a proactive approach to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults.

As a key member of the Duty & Assessment Team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, managing cases, and providing high-quality support to service users. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting initial assessments and determining eligibility for services.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with service users and their families.
  • Providing advice and support to colleagues and other professionals.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding investigations.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in line with local policies and procedures.

To be considered for this position, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a varied caseload.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and best practices in social work.
