Applicants must hold a recognised social work qualification and current professional registration, with substantial post-qualification experience in children’s social care and a sound understanding of working with children with disabilities. Previous experience of supervising staff, managing complex safeguarding or care cases, and leading a busy team is essential. You should be confident making professional decisions, managing competing priorities and communicating clearly with children, families and partner agencies. A commitment to strengths-based, relationship-focused practice, equality and inclusion is vital, together with the ability to work flexibly and maintain accurate, high-quality records.
