We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our team in Bristol as a CAFCASS/Family Court Adviser covering South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Gloucestershire, and Banes. As a pivotal member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expert advice to Family Courts to help them make informed decisions about the welfare of children and young people involved in public and private law proceedings.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Undertaking safeguarding assessments and making recommendations to the court
  • Interviewing children and families to gather information for court reports
  • Attending court hearings and presenting evidence effectively
  • Working collaboratively with external agencies and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children
  • Providing support and guidance to children and families throughout the court process

The essential qualifications and skills for this role include:

  • A recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
  • Proven experience working with children and families in a social work setting
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and child protection procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a complex caseload efficiently
